Club History

Sixteen ladies attended the inaugural meeting of The Pittwater Memorial Women’s bowling Club on August 28^th 1963. Lois Griffiths was elected as the inaugural President. In the early days the ladies did their own catering for special days.

The club began with 16 members all wearing their whites. Today we have over 60 members and our uniform has undergone many changes with the green and white shirt and green pants adopted in the early 2000’s . However on social days many of our members wear coloured BA Logo shirts.

In the old days they were referred to the ‘friendliest club on the hill’ and we like to think this still holds true today.
